Recruitment halted
in RecruitmentPosted: 15-05-2008 12:01:20
Ladies and gentlemen.
We have until recently had recruitment for the Age of Conan division of The Axemen OPEN. As of this moment we are halting further recruitment. If you already mailed your application, we have of course received and reviewed it. Due to the astonishing number of applicants there are quite a lot of good/great applications who weren't accepted. For this we are sorry. We will be emailing you all with a reply during the next days.
With launch day just around the corner, and experience from other launches, we all know that things change quickly in the MMO world. We know that we will probably need more players when we begin to experience endgame content. Thus we hope that many of you who want to join our ranks at a later stage, will be to find on our server. We will announce the server on our homepage the day of launch.
In short, recruitment is CLOSED until further notice.
Regards,
Cepheus of The Axemen
Age of Conan launch draws near
in NewsPosted: 11-05-2008 11:10:33
The 17th of may the pre-play of Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures, will be available for eager gamers accross Europe. The Axemen is no different, and most have preordered and are awaiting the chance to start our newest adventure!
In the last months we have prepared by strengthening our memberbase, gotten valuable experience through both closed and open beta testing, and used every source of information we know to broaden our perspective and our expectations. Are we prepared enough? The answer from all guilds on this should be no. No one knows what retail and live servers will mean, but we are hopeful, and trying our best to be as prepared as we can be.
For members, all information needed towards launch will of course be provided in the members only forum. For everyone else, we will certainly post what server we end up in when it's decided and launch is close. If you have the goal of joining our ranks at a later point, or playing on the same server either as adversaries or companions, watch this space for more news (much) closer to launch date.
If you have any other questions or want to learn more, our forums are always open and active.
Funcom share still strong
in NewsPosted: 01-02-2008 00:57:26
The recent fluctuating stock market has not influenced the Funcom share as much as other shares around the world. Shareholders can be satisfied as Funcom is one of among 15 other shares which has increased it's value at the OSEBX exchange in January 2008.
Even with the news of a further delay of release, the share seems to be substantial. The current rate of the Funcom share is at January 31. 26,00 NOK.
Class merging and the roster
in MiscPosted: 30-01-2008 15:11:47
Due to the recent merging of some classes, the options for the roster has been changed to reflect the new class and the removal of the old one. This means that some of you now might find yourself listed under the wrong class. Please check your UCP on the forum to see that you've chosen the right class.
Another delay
in NewsPosted: 24-01-2008 15:07:42
A bit late, but yet again we're facing a new delay.. This time it's "only" 8 weeks, so we should, hopefully, survive.. The new release date is 20th of May 2008.
You can read the announcement of the release here.
The Axemen will continue it's preparation for Age of Conan, and hopefully we'll be able to use the extra time well. We're still accepting some new commers, so if you're interested in joining, check out this post for information on how to apply.
Age of Conan delayed
in NewsPosted: 10-08-2007 03:12:26
Funcom and Eidos today announced the delay of the release of Age of Conan. 25th of March, 2008, is now the date we shall all be waiting for. By this the release is postponed well over 4 months, making it quite a long wait.
Many of us have been aching for more concrete news in the latter weeks, and some have even said that the lack of news and lack of a beta announcement indicated delay.
Now here we are, all a bit disappointed, but nevertheless anticipating a good game in not 80, but 200 or so days.
